Wow how times have changed. I sat at my parents house and all 3 of us were on smart phones. It was kind of amusing, but my how times have changed. I've grown used to having the access to everything at a swipe, but I could easily give it up. I think we are going to start implementing an "unplugged" evening each week. We shall see though. I've got to talk to the Mr. about it. I think it is important to get back to the family with no distractions, read the bible together, and just talk. Life seems to be going so very fast and I'm trying my hardest to hold on tight and savor every minute. I love my boys so much I can't even explain it. I am thankful to God for my amazing husband and a happy marriage, two healthy children, a home, a job, family, love, salvation, and hope.

Yay
So the surprise party was a success. I almost blew it a few times today, but it's only because I don't ever keep anything from him.
Where has the time gone
So today is the hubby's 30th birthday. I still remember when we met almost 11 years ago. I am so happy and thankful for him and the two children we have been blessed with. :) We came home to signs and balloons on our porch last night.
Happy birthday Chris!! Look forward to many more and our lifetime of memories.

Let's hear it for the boys
I love http://www.iheartfaces.com/. They are having another photo challenge "Let's hear it for the boys". I took this picture when my youngest was going to have his first haircut. I let my oldest go first to "show him how to do it" I captured this priceless picture of them looking at each other. It really does look like he is telling him how to do it!

I heart faces
I came across this website http://www.iheartfaces.com/ and they have photo challenges and people from all levels can enter their contests. The contest this week is bright & vivid.
I have always loved photography and usually have some sort of camera on me. I love learning new ways and trying new things to improve my photos.
I had seen this area near town and I had to take my boys there and snap some shots. I remember words that came to mind were vivid, amazing, awesome...etc
I am submitting this picture in the I heart photos weekly challenge.

Changing directions
So I have been totally neglecting this blog for some time. Life has a way of getting in the way of things. It's ok though, my kiddos are my priority. I've always loved photography and photos and the likes. I've had a lot of fun since we got a DSLR camera last year. I'm entertaining the thoughts of trying to build a little courage and venture out and try taking pictures. I know I'm not the gifted talented photographer like those I admire, but I'm starting out. I love capturing precious memories for myself and family, so why not help others do the same? I'm not going extravagant or anything, just wanting to venture out and shoot some pictures, who knows where I will end up. I'm going to post some of my pictures from the last little bit.

Addicted?
So why does it seem that I am so tempted by all the emerging adorable new cloth diapers? I have been stalking several websites and have been going through the tons of pages on diaperswappers. I have a great stash, but I am always looking for new diapers (hey I'm about to have 2 in diapers for a long time). I would really like to find some prints, that is the one thing I don't have a lot of. I've really grown to like the look of Rumparooz diapers- www.rumparooz.com, I also would LOVE to try some SmartiPants- www.smartipants.com, and I would love to try Bumgenius 3.0 AIO organic with snaps. I love snaps and am not a fan of velcro because it does not hold up in the long run. I recently got some BG 3.0's that have been converted to snaps and I'm just now getting to try them out, so we'll see how they are! In the detgergent aspect, I was fortunate enough to win some Tiny Bubbles detergent from The Natural Baby Co. - check them out at www.thenaturalbabyco.com and it is awesome! I've tried so many detergents over this journey and so far Tiny Bubbles is my favorite. I plan to try some RockinGreen detergent next - www.rockingreensoap.com. She has some amazing feedback and the scent choices are great, I don't know if I could choose just one scent....I'll manage though!
Oh yeah did I mention that I dislike my dryer a lot these days? I am SO tired of it eating our clothes and it's attempted to eat some of my diapers before. We've been looking at HE washers and dryers and I hope we'll be getting some in the coming months!
